Crypt0's News is an independent crypto broadcast with a rare asset: original footage of crypto's formative years, filmed as it happened. This page gives producers, editors, and newsrooms the story, the archive, the brand assets, and the licensing contacts in one place.
01Who we are
Crypt0's News began in June 2016, when Omar aka Crypt0 launched a daily crypto show on YouTube. Episode 1 aired as Ethereum News; within weeks it became Crypt0's News, and the cameras stayed on through the DAO hack, the 2016 halving, and the 2017 bull run. After quiet years, the outlet returned in 2026 with a full rebuild, every step logged and recorded on video. Today it publishes daily crypto news alongside deep crypto history: an interactive Bitcoin price chart, live markets, a community forum, and fresh video coverage. 02The archive
Two collections sit at the heart of the footage library. The 2016 Origins: 238 episodes from June through December 2016, covering the DAO hack, the Ethereum hard fork, the second Bitcoin halving, and the climb toward $1,000. The 2017 Originals: dated broadcasts from the 2017 bull run, including the September dailies and the December Crypt0 Minutes, with the climb toward $20,000 on camera. The footage library catalogs nearly 600 videos from the 2016 bull run through 2026, and the complete archive of around 1,800 videos is preserved on the Odysee channel.
03What licensing offers
Broadcast and editorial use of the footage for documentaries, news segments, retrospectives, and productions covering crypto history. Licensing is personal and one to one: share your production, your intended use, and which footage you need through the footage request form, and Omar aka Crypt0 replies personally with availability, formats, and a quote. Editorial and commercial licenses are available; terms are agreed per project, with credit to Crypt0's News included in standard terms.
