How does the calculator find the old price?
It looks up the actual daily closing price on your chosen date from our full bitcoin price dataset, which runs from 2009 to today.
What if I pick a date before 2009?
The dataset starts in October 2009, so the earliest lookup uses the first available price. The date picker starts there too.
Does it account for fees?
It leaves exchange fees out. Real exchanges take a little of every buy, so treat the result as the clean math before fees.
